1. Scope and contact

This Privacy Policy explains how ImgSharpener ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit imgsharpener.com, sign in, process an image, make a purchase, or contact support (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We collect information needed to operate the Service:

• Account information: your name, email address, profile image, account identifier, and information Google shares when you sign in. We do not receive your Google password.
• Images and processing information: images you upload, processed outputs, file type, dimensions, selected tool and mode, task status, credit cost, timestamps, and error details.
• Payment information: plan or credit pack, amount, currency, order and transaction identifiers, payment status, billing email, invoice link, refund status, and limited information returned by the payment provider. We do not store complete card numbers, card security codes, or PayPal passwords.
• Usage and security information: IP address, approximate country, browser, device, pages and features used, timestamps, session records, and diagnostic or fraud-prevention logs.
• Support information: messages, attachments, and account or transaction references you submit.
• Essential cookies: authentication, security, language, and interface-preference cookies required for core features.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide sign-in, image processing, downloads, credits, subscriptions, billing, and support.
• Secure accounts and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and payment disputes.
• Maintain transaction, subscription, credit, and task histories.
• Troubleshoot and improve the reliability and usability of the Service.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and consumer-protection obligations.

4. Analytics, cookies, and your choices

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits to selected public pages and improve usability, performance, and content. The covered pages are the homepage, Image Upscaler, Unblur Image, Old Photo Restoration, and Pricing. These providers may receive page and interaction information, browser and device information, approximate location, and related technical data. When analytics storage is allowed, GA4 can measure sessions and acquisition and Clarity can provide heatmaps and masked session recordings.

When our Google Ads measurement setting is enabled, we also offer a separate Google Ads conversion choice. We send a Google Ads conversion only after ImgSharpener has verified a paid order or created an account and only on a short, authenticated completion page. The event contains the configured Ads destination, conversion value and currency where applicable, and a unique order transaction identifier for a purchase. We do not send your name, email address, image, payment instrument details, or account identifier in the conversion event.

Our default depends on the approximate country supplied by our edge network:

• EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or an unknown country: analytics and Google Ads storage start off. A non-blocking notice lets you allow analytics, continue without analytics storage, or customize each available provider. Until you allow an analytics provider, its tag may still send limited cookieless measurements. GA4 uses these signals for basic measurement and possible aggregate modeling. Clarity treats page visits separately without cookie-based session continuity, so reports can be fragmented. We do not dispatch a Google Ads conversion while the Google Ads choice is off.
• Other countries: analytics storage starts on, and Google Ads storage starts on only if Google Ads measurement is enabled for that deployment. No notice opens automatically. You can turn GA4, Google Ads, or Clarity off at any time through Privacy choices in the site footer.

Turning a provider off prevents its relevant first-party cookies from being used and removes known cookies that we can clear. GA4 and Clarity can continue limited cookieless operation on covered public pages; cookieless operation is not the same as no data or no network request. Turning Google Ads off prevents ImgSharpener from loading its conversion tag or dispatching a Google Ads conversion. Your explicit choices are stored in a first-party preference cookie for up to 180 days. You can change or withdraw them at any time. Google Ads consent controls Google consent-mode fields for advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization; GA4 itself is configured without Google Signals or ad-personalization signals.

The upload and result workbench, including image previews and full-screen comparisons, is explicitly masked from Clarity. GA4 page locations exclude fragments and non-campaign query values; a limited utm_* allowlist is retained for aggregate acquisition reporting. We do not load GA4 or Clarity on sign-in, account, settings, payment, support, administrative, API, not-found, or error pages. The only exception is the short authenticated completion page described above, which can load Google Ads solely to dispatch a verified conversion for a visitor who allowed Google Ads. A full navigation removes public-page provider runtimes when a visitor leaves a covered public page.

Cloudflare Web Analytics automatic injection is disabled. If we enable another analytics provider in the future, we will update this notice before using it.

5. Images and retention

Images are stored privately and shared with service providers only as needed to perform the processing operation you request. Image files stored in systems controlled by ImgSharpener are automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Task metadata, account records, support messages, transaction records, and security logs may be retained longer where needed for account history, billing, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. We do not sell uploaded images or use them to train our own general-purpose AI models.

6. Sharing and payment providers

We do not sell personal information. We may share necessary information with providers that support hosting, storage, security, authentication, image processing, customer support, and payments, or with authorities when legally required.

Payments may be handled by Stripe, Creem, or PayPal, depending on the option selected at checkout. These providers process payment and fraud-prevention information under their own privacy notices. We receive only the information needed to confirm and administer the transaction.

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, applicable contractual or legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections, access controls, private storage, limited retention, and security logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your Google account and active sessions.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. ImgSharpener does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a request, use Settings → Request account deletion or email support@imgsharpener.com with the subject Privacy Request. Requests initiated in Settings require confirmation through the account email address; after confirmation, we disable access while we cancel eligible subscriptions and remove account data. We may retain and minimise records required for security, transactions, legal claims, or compliance.

9. Children, changes, and contact

The Service is not directed to or intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or close the account and delete associated personal information where permitted by law.

We may update this Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. The updated version and date will be published on this page.
